When children hear about Noah, Moses, Ruth, David, Esther, Mary, Peter, Paul, and so many others, it's easy for them to picture these people as characters in stories from a very long time ago.

But they weren't characters.

They were real people.

They had families and friends. They lived in real places, walked real roads, worked, celebrated, struggled, made choices, faced fears, experienced victories and sometimes made mistakes.

Most importantly, they each had a place in God's story.

Meet the People of the Bible was created to help children discover the people behind the pages of Scripture in a fun, colorful, and meaningful way.

We'll meet famous people—and some people children may have never heard of before. We'll discover where they lived, when they lived, the people they knew, what Scripture tells us about them, and what their lives can teach us today.

Along the way, children can explore the world of the Bible through people, places, history, Scripture, activities, and faith-filled lessons designed especially for young learners.

Our hope is that children won't simply remember a Bible story.

We want them to remember the person.

To understand the history.

And most of all, to discover how the faith of people who lived thousands of years ago can still teach and encourage us today.
